Or, just a very nice book to check out from the library although, one of my dreams is to someday own every Caldecott book. He went on to win the gold medal once more and get four additional Honor medals.
Store that away for the next time you need some trivia. There are quite a few of these that I have never read yet since I haven't had a little one to read to for quite a while but there are also some favorites.
Make Way for Ducklings was a gift to me as a child and, having been brought up in Boston and loving the swan boats, I always felt it was written especially for me. I can't read Sylvester without crying. My favorite part of Snowy Day is the endpapers.

I just love the colors. Build Your Wild Self goes really nicely with it, I think. Oh and because my other post wasn't long enough, I have a few Christmas book suggestions. Peter Spier's wordless Christmas book would be a great one for Ella to read. One not to just borrow, but to own. I also love his Friendly Beasts a song I learned as a child.
I can't believe but am delighted that all of them are still available on Amazon. It is a beautiful, inspiring read, and I bet you would like it if you haven't read it yet! We submitted a total of 24 votes to the statewide Maine Student Book Award committee! We will be announcing the winner soon! About 20 middle school students participated in an event around the book, The Genius Files by Dan Gutman, one of the books nominated this year for the Maine Student Book Award! We played a fun trivia game about the book, and the students had a great time going on a Genius Files-themed scavenger hunt!
In honor of Valentine's Day, the library invites you to enjoy a "blind date" with a book! Check out one of our specially wrapped books. You won't know what the book is until you leave the library and unwrap it! You must be willing to give the book a try, but if you and your blind date don't work out, you can return it to the library with no awkward questions asked! If you read the book, you can fill out a "Rate Your Date" sheet and drop it in the jar on the circulation desk. At the end of the week after vacation, one lucky winner will be drawn to win a prize!
It could be the start of a great relationship! Happy Valentine's Day!
All seventh graders read this captivating story of middle school bullying and were very fortunate to be able to meet the author! Author Doug Wilhelm answered lots of excellent questions and gave us some great advice, and our students were a wonderful audience! True Shoes is the sequel to The Revealers , and it is the new seventh grade read aloud!
A big thank you to Mr.
